Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to the St. Mary’s School website! It is with excitement that I am able to contact you through this website. Communication with parents and community has always been important to the success of our school since its inception in 1860 and we are excited about providing you with new ways of accessing information and keeping you informed of school activities and events.

We enter the 2007-2008 school year with much excitement and change! The summer months have been extremely busy with all the changes that have taken place. With the addition of a second eighth grade class, we have reached our goal of having two classes in each grade level. We were also able to add a 3-year-old program to our existing Preschool program. Our successful Capital Campaign has allowed us to construct one of the premier Early Childhood Centers in the Diocese of Cleveland. The new wing houses four classrooms and an indoor playground! All of these changes and additions were put in place to accommodate the growing enrollment that is happening at St. Mary’s School. Currently we have increased our enrollment to 465 students. How exciting it is to be able to touch the lives of so many students.

The members of our faculty and staff are truly committed to educating and nurturing all students who grace our classrooms daily. Our program is designed to build a strong academic foundation for life-long learning. Woven into our school days are activities and prayer designed to nurture a love of God and a passion for Christian service. Elementary school is an important and unforgettable time, and for many of our students it is the most time they will spend at any one school or college. They will build lasting memories and loving friendships during their years here.

We thank you for the gift of your child’s enthusiasm for learning and eagerness for life. In their wide-eyed wonder, we see the miracle of God’s creation anew. Our doors are always open so feel welcome to stop by the school office for a tour or to gather more information about our school.
